 This is positioned on the leg side, between square leg and mid-on. It is roughly between 45-60 degrees from the bat. It is another position where run-saving is the main aim, rather than attacking the batsmen. Although you can expect a few top-edged pulls coming your way if you're fielding here. And you need a safe pair of hands if you're fielding on the mid-wicket boundary, especially in limited-overs cricket when the batsmen are hitting out.
