All-rounder Rosalie Birch is playing for England in Sri Lanka and India. Here is her behind the scenes look at life on tour. In Colombo, 'tuk tuks' are the way to travel; they are like giant wood lice on wheels. We squeezed three people in each and raced along the roads. After the tuk tuks, our driver took us for a tour of a temple to calm us down! The buildings were incredible, so intricately decorated, with gold everywhere. Our second one-day international against Sri Lanka was played at the massive Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The heat and humidity in Sri Lanka was hard to handle after arriving from an English winter, but we pulled together to take the series 2-0. After completing the two-match one-day series in Sri Lanka, we headed towards Kandy to an elephant orphanage, where we saw a family of elephants walking down the street. It was incredible to see such amazing animals in their natural environment, although I did find their size a little frightening; I wasn't really sure what this one was up to! We arrived to a true Indian welcome in Delhi, and received quite a lot of attention. Skipper Lottie and our 'Bollywood superstar' Isa dealt with it like pros. We seem to be very popular function guests in India; this soiree was at a large farmhouse outside Meerut. We were treated to a colourful Indian welcome and a hearty feast. Instead of putting our huge bags in the boot, they haul them on to the roof of the bus! Our drivers have developed big muscles as we don't scrimp on bringing lots of 'essentials'! These were probably the biggest bins we have ever been given for ice baths, and our team 'small people', Isa and Nunny (Katherine Brunt) were able to thoroughly chill out!
