Peterson adds to SA spin options
Robin Peterson
Peterson has played four Tests since his debut last year
South Africa have been forced to make another change to their squad for the forthcoming tour to India.

Lef-arm spinner Robin Peterson has been drafted in to replace Charl Langeveldt, who has a back injury.

The news came only only two days after Langeveldt was called up when Nicky Boje withdrew from the tour.

Boje declined to make the trip because Indian police would not confirm he would not be arrested in connection with a match-fixing inquiry.

It dates back to South Africa's last tour to India in 2000 when Boje, Herschelle Gibbs, the late Hansie Cronje and Piet Strydom were charged with "cheating. fraud and criminal conspiracy".

Boje has repeatedly protested his innocence.

The inclusion of 25-year-old Peterson gives new coach Ray Jennings an extra spin bowling option for a short tour of only three matches, two of them Tests.

Langeveldt, meanwhile, has been ordered to rest for two to three weeks.

Revised squad for India: Graeme Smith (captain), Boeta Dippenaar (vice captain), Hashim Amla, Zander de Bruyn, Andrew Hall, Jacques Kallis, Makhaya Ntini, Justin Ontong, Robin Peterson, Shaun Pollock, Jacques Rudolph, Thami Tsolekile, Alfonso Thomas, Martin van Jaarsveld.
