Pakistan will push for Dubai and Abu Dhabi as "surrogate" home venues for the 2011 World Cup, despite the ICC ruling there would be no such move.

The troubled nation has lost hosting rights, with its 14 matches now going to India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt said: "We will continue to make efforts to convince the three other countries to give us matches."

ICC chief Haroon Lorgat said: "There is no question of a fifth country."

The PCB has confirmed it will also pursue its legal case against the ICC who, it claims, unlawfully stripped Pakistan of its right to host matches in cricket's premier tournament.

ICC officials have reaffirmed that in the light of the Lahore terror attacks Pakistan will not be hosting any games - though they will receive around £6m compensation.

Pakistan has played 11 "home" one-day internationals at Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Stadium, winning seven of them.
