The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has increased salaries by 30% in a bid to prevent its players from joining the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).

Twelve Bangladesh Test players terminated contracts to join new ICL team Dhaka Warriors in September 2008.

Poor pay was one of the reasons players jeopardised their international careers to play in the unsanctioned ICL.

BCB official Enayet Hossain said it would also include improve other bonus-related pay as well as salaries.

"We have decided not only to increase their remuneration, but their winning bonus, performance bonus, match fees and other allowances will also be increased proportionately," he said.

The BCB threatened to ban any player joining the ICL from international cricket for 10 years.

However, Bangladesh have no international commitments until the ICC World Twenty20 in June.

On Wednesday, the Bangladesh government indefinitely postponed all tours by foreign sports teams because of security concerns.

Pakistan had been scheduled to play two Twenty20 matches and five one-day internationals, but the tour has yet to be rescheduled.
