Former Australia batsman

FACTFILE
Glenn McGrath
Right-handed batsman; right-arm fast-medium bowler
Born: 9/2/70
Test debut: v New Zealand, Perth 1993
ODI debut: v South Africa, Melbourne 1993

He's so dangerous with the new ball. He's so accurate he just doesn't give any opening batsman a chance to look at it and get a feel for his pace.

McGrath's at you right from the first ball, so if England's openers can control him they're probably halfway towards beating Australia.

But England have a few left-handers in their top-order, and Pigeon loves bowling to lefties - just ask New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming.

He's got a Rolls Royce action where he doesn't expend too much energy, and is a great example to kids around the world that you don't have to bowl 100mph to hurt blokes and take a stack of wickets.

He took lots of wickets on the 1997 and 2001 tours and knows how to bowl in England.
