Australia were forced to extend the nominations deadline for Allan Border's replacement on the selection panel after no applications were received.
Former captain Border stepped down earlier this month to spend more time with his family.
Cricket Australia asked for nominations from the six state associations, but Friday's original cut-off passed.
Former Test spinners Ray Bright and Tom Hogan have both been touted as possible successors to Border.
CA says it wants the new member of the panel to be in place by early June.
The other positions are filled by David Boon, Andrew Hilditch and chairman Trevor Hohns.
