Maynard is considering an offer to join India's cricket academy

"I've been asked to go out to India to work with their academy, and I'm sure there will be one or two more offers coming in," he told BBC Wales Sport.

"But I'm just going to take my time, I don't want to rush into anything."

Maynard was replaced by former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower on Monday to work with new England coach Peter Moores.

He had been an assistant to former England coach Duncan Fletcher since May 2005, and was under contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board until the end of the summer.

"Whenever you get a new coach in, he tends to bring people he's familiar with to work with," added Maynard.

"To be honest, as soon as Duncan announced his retirement, I pretty much thought that was going to be the end for me as well.

"There could've been other jobs with the board, but I'm happy this way. I've had a pretty tough winter so it'll be nice to sort this summer out and spend some time with the family."

Maynard revealed last month he wanted to coach at Glamorgan, but admitted a return to his former county is out of the question in the near future.

"It is impossible to return to Glamorgan in the short term because they've done all the preparation for this year," said Maynard.

"Adrian Shaw [Glamorgan coach] has done very well in pre-season - I've heard a lot of good feedback from the guys.

"So it would be very hard for me go back there at the moment."
