Davies' only appearance for England came in March against the West Indies

England have replaced Matt Prior with wicketkeeper Steve Davies in their Champions Trophy squad.

Number one gloveman Prior had missed the last two England matches in South Africa, with batsman Eoin Morgan taking the gloves on an emergency basis.

But when the Sussex man failed to recover fully from a viral infection for Friday's semi-final, England applied to the ICC to bring in Davies.

Davies will be a Surrey player in 2010 after moving from Worcestershire.
