Captain Kevin Pietersen will lead a 15-man squad to India |
England's fourth game in the seven-match winter one-day international series in India has been moved from Jamshedpur to Bangalore. The original venue for the 23 November game has been dogged by construction and maintenance problems. "We have not received a response from the maintenance company," said Jharkhand State Cricket Association secretary Rajesh Verma Bobby "We have no choice but to surrender rights to host the match." The England and Wales Cricket Board had been disappointed over the choice of venues for the series, with their 15-man squad hoping to play at some of the bigger venues. | 606: DEBATE | The main grounds at Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai were all left off the original itinerary, but there will presumably be some satisfaction in the England camp that Bangalore - one of the more significant grounds - has stepped in. That said, Jamshedpur was the scene of a rare win for England in Indian one-dayers in 2006, when Andrew Strauss and James Anderson featured in England's only victory of a seven-match series. The seven internationals begin in Rajkot on 14 November and conclude in Delhi on 2 December. England have eight days between their Stanford match in Antigua and their first warm-up match in Mumbai. Meanwhile, India begin their four-match Test series against Australia in Bangalore on 9 October.
