Supreme Bell piles pressure on SA

Ian Bell was dismissed for 199 as England declared on 593-8 on day two of the first Test against South Africa.

Bell was caught by spinner Paul Harris trying a drive to bring up what would have been his first Test double ton.

South Africa openers Graeme Smith and Neil McKenzie reached 7-0 in reply before rain brought play to a halt.

Earlier, Stuart Broad made a Test best 76 in a fine seventh-wicket partnership of 152 with Bell, and Kevin Pietersen was out for a superb 152.
