Sidebottom has impressed since his recall against West Indies |
Ryan Sidebottom will miss England's next two one-dayers against India with the side injury which kept him out of the win at the Rose Bowl on Tuesday. The paceman, 29, suffered the problem in the third Test draw at The Oval, and did not bowl in the second innings.
Sidebottom will be re-assessed after the third game on Monday before England decide whether to summon a replacement.
The Nottinghamshire seamer has been impressive since being recalled this summer following a six-year absence.
He was called up after Matthew Hoggard was injured in the opening Test against the West Indies and responded by taking 16 wickets in the next three games as England wrapped up a 3-0 series triumph.

Sidebottom also claimed eight wickets in the three Tests against India, but was unfortunate not to earn more reward in several fine spells.
However, his call-up for the one-dayers against India was still something of a surprise as he only played in one of the ODIs against the West Indies.
The left-armer has also been named in England's 15-man squad for next month's World Twenty20 tournament in South Africa.
