Moore took over as caoch after the World Cup |
West Indies coach David Moore promised his side would be going for the win on the final day of the first Test against England at Lord's. The tourists need 394 more to win with all 10 second innings wickets intact.
"We're here to win the Tests and if the cards fall in our favour in the morning and throughout the day we'll be pushing for the win," said Moore.
"We're in a pretty reasonable position. If at least one guy gets a hundred then we could go close."

England will probably be without injured seamer Matthew Hoggard on Monday, and Moore feels his absence could be crucial.
"The fact Hoggard is unlikely to bowl must be playing on the English players' minds and our boys are very buoyant," Moore commented.
"We missed out on a warm-up game and came in a little under-done. But we've bowled well, haven't fielded as well, but still come out OK.
"After 553-5 declared in the first innings and then them having us 187-5, the cards were stacked in their favour, but we've fought back and we're very pleased with our efforts."
Only three sides have ever scored over 400 in the fourth innings to win a Test match and the best run chase at Lord's came 23 years ago when West Indies made 344-1 on the final day, thanks to a double century from Gordon Greenidge.
And it will take some equally special batting if the current side are to pull off what would be a stupendous victory.
"I'm not going to delude myself, but we're in a position where we have scored 360 in a day [in the first innings] and we did it without putting the pedal to the metal and without [Chris] Gayle being there and scoring lots of runs," said Moore.
"I don't think we are going to target anyone in any shape or form...we'll be very wary and respectful of all the [England] bowlers. Panesar, Harmison and even young Plunkett, they are all guys who can get key wickets and take the momentum away from the team that's batting."
But asked whether Panesar was the biggest threat after taking six wickets in the first innings, Moore added: "He's a top quality spinner. We've got to learn quickly - if we don't, we'll be dismissed quite quickly because he's that sort of cricketer, but we're working very hard."
