Collingwood says England want to put the poor winter behind them |
England are refreshed and desperate to get back to winning ways, according to all-rounder Paul Collingwood. After a disappointing winter, which saw England trounced 5-0 in the Ashes and play poorly in the World Cup, he wants a series victory against West Indies.
Collingwood said: "We want to go out there and win, that's the main thing.
"We want to get back to winning ways and play some good, sound, cricket as the winter was a major disappointment for us all."
He said England were used to a hectic all-year round playing schedule.
"It's part and parcel of the game these days. The motivation for us is to go out there and start doing well again," Collingwood said.

England play a four-Test series against West Indies, starting at Lord's on 17 May, with both teams heralding the start of a new era with new coaches in Peter Moores and David Moore and, in the case of the tourists, a new captain in Ramnaresh Sarwan.
But England could also be forced to make a captaincy change should Michael Vaughan be ruled out with a broken finger.

Collingwood said the England performance squad had met up at Loughborough University last week to be introduced to Moores and take part in fitness tests.
The 30-year-old was impressed with Moores' attitude as he prepared for his first match since succeeding Duncan Fletcher as England coach.
"I haven't come across him [Moores] too much but we met up at Loughborough last Monday," Collingwood told BBC Five Live's Sportsweek programme.
"I thought he spoke very well, is well prepared, very confident and very ambitious which is important.
"I'm looking forward to working with him."
