Vaughan '100% fit' for Kenya game
Michael Vaughan
Vaughan could only receive a few throwdowns after his accident
England skipper Michael Vaughan is fully fit for Saturday's Group C decider against Kenya in St Lucia, according to wicket-keeper Paul Nixon.

Vaughan tripped on a pothole on Tuesday, tweaked his knee and was forced to sit out training.

He has only just returned to the England line-up after recovering from long-term knee and hamstring problems.

Nixon said: "He is fine and looking forward to the game. He is 100%, it was just a little tweak."

606: DEBATE

Nixon was one of six players fined for a late-night drinking session after Friday's defeat to New Zealand, which led to Andrew Flintoff being stripped of the vice-captaincy.

But the Leicestershire gloveman said England had put the controversy behind them.

"Personally, I just had a reasonably quiet night and stayed out too late in the public domain. I've learnt my lessons," said Nixon, 36.

"It was good for us to collectively get together again (on Wednesday) and focus and we had a really good session.

"I think the events have taken the team closer together. There is a lot of honesty and openness in the dressing room and that's important if we're going to go forward."
