Vaughan top-scored with 62 in the defeat to Australia on Friday |
England captain Michael Vaughan insists his side will be raring to go when they get their World Cup campaign under way against New Zealand next week. England looked jaded in the field in their five-wicket defeat by Australia in their final warm-up on Friday.
"We've tried to hit the guys with a lot of fitness and maybe that was an after-effect," said Vaughan.
"They did look a little slow but we'll make sure we're really fresh-legged going into the New Zealand game."

The England captain said the players will rest over the next few days to make sure they are in prime physical condition for the start of the World Cup.
In their final game before the tournament England saw Australia reach 198 to win by five wickets in St Vincent.
"We're disappointed with the performance," said Vaughan, England's best performer with a fluent 62.
"They put the squeeze on us but we should have got 250 or 260.
"The key to our innings was one of me or Belly [Ian Bell] going to a big score. There were some positives but we were well beaten by a good side."
Vaughan confirmed he had experienced no further problems with the hamstring injury that threatened his place at the World Cup.
"I'm fine," he said. "It was a good test and it was nice for me to spend some time in the middle and get 20 overs in the field."
But he was unhappy his team were not able to build on a mid-innings position of 125-1.
"Once you get to 60 on these pitches you need to get to 80 or even three figures," he said. "It's difficult for new guys coming in.
"Sometimes it can be a good thing when these sort of things happen early in a tournament - it is the best time to make mistakes.
"We will have to make a strategy to make sure we get decent totals on these kind of pitches."
