Bell was the only batsman to score more than 20 in the defeat |
Friday's one-day defeat to Australia was a low-point for England on their Ashes tour, says batsman Ian Bell. Asked whether being bowled out for 110 was the worst moment in his career, Bell told BBC Sport: "It's not far off.
"You only had to go in the England dressing room and see how much it hurt people. It was pretty distraught and the players were really hurting.
"This has been a very difficult tour, Australia have been outstanding and we have been nowhere near what we can be."

As calls from England for coach Duncan Fletcher's sacking mount with each loss, Bell - the only batsman to score more than 20 in Adelaide - said every tourist was culpable.
"We're still one unit. We're right behind everyone and this has been a difficult tour for everyone," he said.
"As individuals, we can't start making excuses. I think all of us have to take the blame for this."

Bell refused to concede England's place in the best-of-three one-day series finals, although Australia have secured a place already.
New Zealand are better-placed than England but the two sides must play twice more in the group stage, with the next meeting in Perth on Tuesday.
"We can start showing everyone we've got a bit of bottle and also realise there's a World Cup not to far around the corner," he added.
"We've got to put the talk into action and make sure that the next game is a big performance from us.
"There are three games to go to the finals. We can still qualify, every game's a big one."
