Strauss returned to form in England's drawn tour match

The Australian newspaper on Saturday suggested two camps have formed, one favouring Flintoff, the other Strauss.

But Strauss told BBC Five Live: "We're all 100% behind Fred. He's done a very good job in some pretty trying circumstances in these last two games.

"There are no divisions. I don't know where those stories are coming from."

England's six-wicket defeat in Adelaide earlier this week left them 2-0 down in the series, needing to tie it to keep the Ashes.

Strauss, who captained England during the summer with both Flintoff and Michael Vaughan injured, has scored just 71 runs in four Test innings so far.

But he returned to form with an innings of 88 in the drawn tour match against Western Australia at the Waca, where the third Test begins on Thursday.

He shared a stand of 183 with opening partner Alastair Cook, who put his own indifferent form behind him by scoring a century.

"Myself and Cooky have both been a bit short of runs in these opening Tests so it was good to spend some time in the middle and accumulate a few," Strauss added.

"We were all absolutely gutted after that second Test and I suppose rightly so because we didn't play the sort of cricket we needed to win the game or to draw it

"We're clear about what we have to do - we have to win at least two out of these last three and to do that we have to play positive cricket."
