Sehwag defends tactics after loss
England celebrate the wicket of Virender Sehwag
Sehwag has fallen cheaply in both the Test and one-day series
India captain Virender Sehwag insisted his team had been fully committed to the cause following their defeat by England at Jamshedpur.

"We are totally focused but we gave chances to youngsters and it's hard with lots of newcomers, but we hope to do better in the next game," he said.

India, who lead the series 4-1 with one match to play, rested Irfan Pathan and skipper Rahul Dravid

But Sehwag said: "It was a good track and we should have got more (runs)."

He continued: "If we hadn't lost early wickets it may have been a different scenario."

Sehwag, who made only 95 runs in six Test innings against England including one innings of 76, has also been out of touch in the one-day series.

His first over dismissal for four in the sixth match left him with 78 runs from five innings.

"I'm pretty confident of coming back into good form, we have one more match in this series and after that we are playing Pakistan so hopefully I will get it back," he said.
