Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq "was surprised" by the decision to give him out in the second Test against England but refused to criticise the umpires. Inzamam was run out when he lifted his foot up trying to avoid a throw at the stumps from bowler Steve Harmison.
"It's difficult for me to say anything, I can't challenge the umpire's decision but the rules say something different," Inzamam, who made 109, explained.
"I was trying to avoid the ball and in the rule book that's not out."
In completing his hundred, the 35-year-old equalled former skipper Javed Miandad's record of 23 Test centuries for Pakistan.

"I learned many things about batting from Javed, he was a big player for us, and I'm happy to have equalled his number of centuries," Inzamam said.
Miandad returned the compliment by saying: "I knew Inzamam would set records because he is naturally gifted and a fine batter against fast bowlers.
"I think he can easily go on to score many more hundreds and runs for Pakistan. He has the talent and experience."
Inzamam's controversial dismissal did not prevent the hosts from dominating for a second successive day in Faisalabad.
They took their overnight total of 300-4 to 462 before reducing England to 113-3 by stumps.
"I think we are in a better position and if we take early wickets tomorrow, and lead by 150 or 170, we have a big chance to win this game," the captain added.
"I don't think the pitch will break up but on the fourth day the wicket will be helpful for spinners, although it will not turn a lot."
