New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming was delighted to end the tour of England with triumph in the NatWest Series after a 3-0 Test whitewash.
"It was a tour of two halves - the first half was pretty forgettable but we were outplayed," he said.
"In the second part we've come back strong and shown that our one-day cricket is really on the improve."
"It was a frustrating day in terms of weather and entertainment but a pretty clinical performance in the end."
Fleming was named man of the series after hitting 254 runs at an average of 50.80, including a vital 67 in the final.
"It started well and that was the way it went until the last 10 overs of our innings when we felt a little nervous of being 15 to 20 runs short," he admitted.
Daniel Vettori was named man of the match and was thrilled by his first five-wicket haul in one-day internationals, which saw West Indies bowled out 107 runs short.
"It was a wicket that suited me and I thought Chris Harris and I did a really good job through the middle," he said.
Harris claimed his 200th one-day international wicket and finished with figures of 1-45.
