Streak was named Zimbabwe's man of the series |
Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak said his side would be better suited to one-day cricket after his team crashed to their second heavy Test defeat against England. "Test cricket is always hard work. We enjoyed conditions here, and if you get the ball in right areas enough you reap rewards," he said.
He said his team had produced an "improved performance" in their bowling, compared to their efforts at Lord's.
"We managed to create more pressure, and if we had held on to our chances it might have been a different affair," said Streak.
"We have to make sure we take those chances.
"Our batting was disappointing. It was a good wicket, and there is no excuse to finish a Test in three days.
"But credit to England - I thought they bowled well and were well-disciplined on that wicket.
"We have just got to learn to be patient and stick to the game plan... work hard through those tough patches, do those disciplined things, and make sure you don't slack off.
"Sometimes we had England on the ropes but we could not put that final punch in.
"I think we will be better suited to the one-day scene, so I hope we can bounce back."
