An unbeaten 71 from James Cameron helped Worcestershire beat neighbours Shropshire by 61 runs in a Twenty20 friendly at Orleton Park, Wellington.

Alexei Kervezee hit 53 as the visitors reached 188-6 from their 20 overs, despite three wickets from Bridgnorth's Jack Edwards for Shropshire.

The home side could only make it to 127-7 in response, Chris Murtagh (53) proving the pick of the batsmen.

Worcestershire start the FLt20 campaign against Lancashire on Friday week.

But first Division One's bottom club face Nottinghamshire in their final four-day game before the County Championship break on Sunday.

Shropshire are in MCCA Knockout Trophy action again on Sunday against Cheshire at Shifnal.
