Batty and Ali have been England fringe players in recent years
England duo Kabir Ali and Gareth Batty have extended their Worcestershire deals until the end of the 2010 season.

Kabir, who turns 27 this month, has been with the county for nine years and Batty, 30, moved from Surrey in 2002.

Pears chief executive Mark Newton said: "Kabir and Gareth form part of the backbone of our squad.

"Both had good seasons in 2007 and they will not only help us achieve more playing success but also help mentor the younger players in our squad."
