Worcestershire have signed 17-year-old Dutch all-rounder Alexei Kervezee on a two-year contract. Kervezee has played four one-day internationals, including a top score of 47 against Sri Lanka in July, and is in the Netherlands World Cup squad.
Chief executive Mark Newton said: "Dare we say there are recollections of a young Graeme Hick in this arrangement?"
Kervezee said: "I have already received such warm and encouraging impressions from everyone."
