Donald is moving home to South Africa with his family |
Warwickshire are searching for a new bowling coach after Allan Donald confirmed his decision to step down. The former South Africa Test international had been in the role for two seasons, returning to the club he had served as a player. "Filling the shoes of someone like Allan will be a tough task," said director of cricket Ashley Giles. "We are sure there are some high calibre candidates who will come forward to join the club." | We would expect a very high level of response to this advertisement |
The Bears are looking for a coach with wide experience of working at both international and domestic level, and have placed an advert on their own website as well as that of the England and Wales Cricket Board. "We would expect a very high level of response to this advertisement, and look to make an appointment in due course," stressed Giles. Warwickshire have invested in young bowlers in recent years and the new coach would be expected to aid the development of the likes of Chris Woakes, Naqaash Tahir, Boyd Rankin and Andy Miller.
