Warwickshire have agreed to release batsman Vaughn van Jaarsveld from the two-year contract he signed in June. The 22-year-old South African joined under the Kolpak ruling but refused to return to the club after playing one Pro40 game for the Bears last season.
Chief Executive Colin Povey, said: "We are disappointed by the way Vaughn has conducted himself. He will be missing out on a fantastic opportunity here.
"But we only want players who are fully committed to the Bears' cause."
Gauteng, Van Jaarsveld's provincial team, have paid Warwickshire compensation for the hard-hitting former South Africa Under-19 star's change of heart.
He originally insisted he was keen on qualifying for England but after returning home for the winter has had no contact with the Bears.
