Sussex have played at Hove for 167 years

Sussex have announced that work to demolish the Arthur Gilligan Stand at Hove will begin on Wednesday.

It will be replaced by a new South Stand, that will be in place for the 2011 season.

The South Stand will house the new media centre, the Howzat learning centre, the security control centre and will have 100 seats at the top.

The club's physiotherapy suite will also be moved to the South Stand from the Indoor School.
