Mushtaq still has concerns over his knee despite surgery |
Sussex have expressed concerns over the future fitness of star spinner Mushtaq Ahmed after he missed the final session against Lancashire on Wednesday. The 37-year-old has already had to undergo knee surgery this season and is a major doubt for Arundel next week. Sussex batsman Murray Goodwin told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "My personal feeling is that there is something seriously wrong with his knee. "My gut instinct is that we won't have him, and he's having a scan soon." He added: "Yes, he's a great player, but if we have to do without him, then we do. "It's time perhaps all the batsmen stepped up. We can't always rely on the bowlers."
