Sussex batsman Michael Thornely has agreed a new two-year contract to remain with the county champions. The London-born right-hander, who is 20 this month, is still to make his first-class debut, but scored over 800 runs in the club's 2nd XI title win.
"What has impressed us most is that he has grown in stature as a person and a player," supremo Mark Robinson said.
"If he continues this rate of improvement he will have a very bright future with the club."
