Michael Yardy is now a member of England's one-day squad |
County Champions Sussex have offered contract extensions to six players. Matt Prior, Michael Yardy, Murray Goodwin, Robin Martin-Jenkins, Chris Nash and Carl Hopkinson have all been offered new deals with the club.
Chris Adams will remain as captain and Tom Smith, a graduate from Sussex's Academy, has won a one-year contract to join the club's senior squad.
But all-rounder Sean Heather, seam bowler Tim Linley and batsman Neil Turk have been released by the Hove club.
Adams, along with Luke Wright, Andrew Hodd, Mushtaq Ahmed and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan remain signed up to existing contracts.
Talks are ongoing with other players and the club says details will be confirmed once known.
Cricket manager Mark Robinson said: "We are keen to ensure the club continues to be successful - not only next year but for years to come.
"We are looking to settle all negotiations as quickly as we can."
