Scotland recovered from 64-7 to win by one wicket in Glasgow

Scotland staged a remarkable comeback to secure a one-wicket victory against India A at Titwood in Glasgow.

Chasing a target of 277 in the 50-over friendly, the Scots were wobbling on 64 for seven after 19 overs.

However, Richie Berrington (106) and Moneeb Iqbal (67) shared a partnership of 174 to set up a tense finale.

Needing four from the final over, Gordon Goudie hit the winning shot to wrap up a memorable win with two deliveries to spare.

It was a good day for Goudie, who had earlier picked up four wickets in an eight-over spell, while Berrington claimed three Indian scalps with his bowling.

Opener Ajinkya Rahane was the top scorer for the visitors, making 108, while Manoj Tiwary added 71 to set up a healthy score.

Only Ryan Flannigan (22) reached double figures as the Scottish top order crumbled but Berrington and Iqbal came to the rescue, each recording a personal best score for their country.

The teams will meet again at the same venue on Friday.
