Scotland have restructured their selection process |
Iain Kennedy has replaced David Loudon as Scotland's chairman of selectors. Loudon's last duty in a post he held for seven years was to help pick the squad for April's ICC World Cup qualifier in South Africa. Former batsmen Kennedy, capped six times for his country, will step up from the post of national selector he has held for the past three years. He will be joined on the panel by Scotland head coach Peter Steindl and Scotland Lions head coach Andy Tennant. A further group of four - Willie Morton, Bill McPate, Bryn Lockie and Colin Mitchell - have been nominated in an advisory capacity. "It is a great honour to be the new chairman of selectors at this very exciting time for Scottish cricket," said Kennedy. "We have an experienced and settled national squad, with a lot of talented younger players pushing the current incumbents hard. "We have invited four advisers to support the main panel to ensure that all players in our thoughts are being viewed as often as possible."
