Nottinghamshire have moved quickly to replace opener Jason Gallian by signing Matthew Wood from Somerset. The 26-year-old has joined on a three-year deal and is looking forward to regular first-team cricket after a year on the sidelines at Taunton.
Wood said: "It's been quite frustrating for me as there have been limited opportunities to play. I can't wait for the challenge at Trent Bridge.
"I'm signing for a club on the up, in Division One in both competitions."
