Durham loan out Davies to Notts

Davies has shown tremendous ability when injury-free

Injury-hit Nottinghamshire have taken fast bowler Mark Davies from Durham on loan for one month from Wednesday.

The talented 26-year-old, a former England under-19 player, has been badly hit by injuries himself in his career.

Davies would struggle to command a first-team spot at Durham with Steve Harmison and Liam Plunkett both playing and Ottis Gibson in superb form.

Notts have Ryan Sidebottom on England duty, and Charlie Shreck, Paul Franks, Mark Footitt and Simon Francis injured.
