Ealham pings one down in a Twenty20 match earlier this season |
Mark Ealham is set to continue playing county cricket past his 39th birthday. The former England all-rounder has signed a contract extension with Nottinghamshire after taking 42 wickets in the Championship this season.
His new deal ensures his presence at Trent Bridge until the end of 2008. Both he and spinner Graeme Swann have added a year to existing contracts.
"I have really enjoyed my time at Notts and hopefully we can enjoy further success," said a delighted Ealham.
He moved from Kent at the end of the 2003 season, and in his second summer with Nottinghamshire he helped them win the County Championship.
Swann said: "Although we have had a fairly disappointing season in terms of retaining our Championship, everyone is determined to put things right next season."
