Andrew Hall has played for Kent and Worcestershire |
Northants have signed former South Africa all-rounder Andrew Hall on a three-year contract. Hall announced his retirement from international cricket earlier this month after being omitted from the Proteas' World Twenty20 squad. Hall said: "The opportunity is an exciting one for me. "I have spoken with (head coach) David Capel, Nicky Boje and Lance Klusener, who have convinced me about the potential and ambition of the club." Hall, 32, had been a key part of the South Africa squad which reached the 2007 World Cup semi-finals and has previously played for Worcestershire and Kent. Capel said: "This is an important and significant signing for Northants Cricket."
