Neil Carter is considered something of a Twenty20 specialist |
Warwickshire all-rounder Neil Carter has joined Middlesex on loan for the Stanford Challenge and could stay on for the Champions League. South Africa-born Carter, 33, will join up with the Middlesex squad in mid-October before flying to the Caribbean. There is provision in the loan deal for him to play in the Champions League in India in December if he does well. Carter scored 208 runs opening the batting for Warwickshire in the 2008 Twenty20 Cup and took eight wickets. The left-arm seamer has been used as a "pinch-hitter" at the top of the batting order in one-day cricket by Warwickshire for the last few years.
