Middlesex have been given permission by Surrey to use The Oval for their Twenty20 Cup quarter-final. The Crusaders' tie will be played between 7-9 July, but their own ground Lord's is out of action as it will host England v South Africa on 10 July. Middlesex, who have qualified for the last eight as South Division winners, had also considered using Uxbridge as an alternative venue. But Middlesex chose The Oval in the interests of their supporters. Middlesex chief executive Vinny Codrington told BBC London 94.9 on Thursday: "The players are keen to play at the Oval and it's beneficial to our members who would get to see the game for no cost."
