Leicestershire have confirmed the appointment of Paul Haywood as chairman and Mike Siddall as chief executive of the club.

Haywood has been a board member for the past 28 years and Siddall has been on the board for the last five years.

"I look forward to the task of stabilising the club after a difficult period," Siddall said.

"I am delighted to chair the board and look forward to bringing harmony to the club," Haywood added.

"Leicestershire cricket is very close to my heart and I look forward to a new era at the club."

"I look forward to working with the excellent staff, to help progress the club both on and off the field."
