Robinson joined Leicestershire from Essex four seasons ago |
Leicestershire head coach Tim Boon has revealed six players have been released by the county ahead of a recruitment drive before next season's campaign. Five batsmen - Darren Robinson, John Maunders, Arno Jacobs, Paul Harrison and Marc Rosenberg - as well as paceman David Stiff will all leave Grace Road.
And with Stuart Broad and David Masters also leaving, the squad appears light.
But Boon said: "We are currently in negotiations with new players and I'm confident they'll be announced soon."

He added: "We have set out our intentions through the club's recruitment and selection policy for 2008, and beyond that we want to develop the best young talent around a core group of senior 'role model' professionals.
"That will be reflected in the players that are brought to Grace Road."
The county have already taken steps to revamp their squad by naming 36-year-old former England wicket-keeper Paul Nixon, who has just signed a new three-year deal, the new club captain.
