New captain HD Ackerman is confident he can help Leicestershire repeat as Twenty20 Cup champions in 2005. Ackerman this season replaced Aussie Brad Hodge, who moved to Lancashire after playing a major part in the Foxes' upset win over Surrey last year.
"We have quite a nicely balanced side for Twenty20 and we just hope one of the batters can stand up and do what Hodge did last year," said Ackerman.
"Our guys are a very confident bunch as far as Twenty20 cricket is concerned."
Leicestershire open this year's campaign at home to North Division rivals Nottinghamshire on 22 June.

Finals day, incorporating the two semi-finals and then the final, is at The Brit Oval on 30 July.
Ackerman's side have plenty of experience, having played on finals day in the first two seasons of the competition.
But the batsman himself has only played four games in the format, with South African side Gauteng last year.
"I will be asking a lot of questions before we go out on the field to find out how they went about it," he said.
"We have started to implement some of the things they used in Twenty20 for the Sunday league and 50-over games," he said.
