Parry is Lancashire's leading wicket taker in the FP t20 this summer |
Lancashire bowler Stephen Parry has been called up to the England Lions squad for their triangular series with India A and West Indies A. The 24-year-old left-arm spinner is Lancashire's leading wicket taker in Twenty20 cricket this summer. Parry's Lancashire team mate Tom Smith believes he deserves his chance at international level. Smith said: "He's been picked for the Lions, and deservedly. Fingers crossed he'll go well there." Parry is now in contention to play for the Lions in Thursday's final at Worcester. The spinner took three wickets in Monday's win over Worcestershire in the FP t20, including the key wicket of Sri Lanka batsman Sanath Jayasuriya.
