Keedy took 2-37 against Leics in the NatWest Pro40 |
Spinner Gary Keedy says Lancashire are still in a position to win the NatWest Pro40 Division Two title. The Red Rose county lost by 76 runs to Leicestershire on Sunday, leaving them in third place in the competition. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "We play Middlesex on Wednesday night at Lord's and whoever wins will gain momentum into the last quarter of the season. "It's a big game for us, and we really want to win," he added. "Obviously we want to win all four remaining games." Lancashire lost their last six wickets against Leicestershire for just 36 runs, but Keedy denied this was due to tiredness. "I don't think there is any tiredness," he said. "With modern-day cricket, with pool sessions and the recovery sessions we do, we keep ourselves as fit and as strong as we can. "Some people would have argued that we have overplayed recently but I've bowled hundreds of overs in the past couple of weeks. Physically and mentally, I'm as fit as I was at the beginning of the year."
