Lancashire all-rounder Steven Croft believes Wednesday's Pro40 League win over Nottinghamshire will inject momentum into their remaining games.

The county are currently third from bottom in both the Pro40 and County Championship competitions.

"It was a massive boost for us," Croft, 23, told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"We've not been playing too badly, but just to get out on the park and get a win under our belts will give us a lot of confidence."

And the Blackpool-born player, who top-scored with an unbeaten 68, as well as taking three wickets, was delighted with his own performance.

"I came off well with both bat and ball.

"It's what I've been working on all year, but it was most important we got a win out of it."
