Lancashire County Cricket Club have announced a 185,000 profit for 2007. But chief executive Jim Cumbes raised concerns that the club has had to find more money to stage internationals. "Much of the club's profit goes towards increased staging fees and it limits the funds available for investment," Cumbes told the club's website. "Lessons must be learnt from the 1970s and 80s when international grounds declined due to lack of profits from international matches." Lancashire is moving into a redevelopment programme at Old Trafford including drainage improvement and the installation of a new scoreboard. Next year will see work start on a new 12m conference centre.
