 Mahmood will face a fight to regain his England place |
Sajid Mahmood played his first top-level match for nearly two months when playing in Lancashire's Pro40 victory over Northants on Wednesday. The England fast bowler, who had a hernia operation in early June, struggled and conceded two sixes and a total of 22 runs in his final over.
Mahmood finished with figures of 1-56 off his six overs.
He will now seek to return to County Championship action with the goal of regaining his place in England squad.
