Cork played 37 Tests and 32 one-day internationals for England |
Former England all-rounder Dominic Cork has extended his contract at Lancashire until the end of the 2007 season. The 34-year-old had a year left on his deal but will stay on with the county for an additional campaign.
"We are delighted that Dominic wants to stay," coach Mike Watkinson said. "He's one of a group of players who give us the experience that every club needs.
"But there is real excitement here about the potential of the younger members of the squad."
Cork, who moved to Old Trafford in 2004 after 14 seasons at Derbyshire, scored 540 runs and took 43 wickets in 14 championship matches as the county celebrated double promotion last year.
