Mahendra Dhoni was Morkel's notable first Test scalp |
South African paceman Morne Morkel will deputise for compatriot Andrew Hall in Kent's Twenty20 campaign this summer. The 22-year-old was Africa's top wicket-taker in the recent Afro-Asia Cup in India, claiming eight scalps at a cost of 20.75 runs apiece.
He took 3-86 in his only Test to date, against India in December 2006, and has eight wickets from three ODIs.
Hall has been named in South Africa's one-day squad to play a series against India in Ireland, starting on 21 June.
