Kent fast bowler Amjad Khan is targeting playing for England after being granted British citizenship. The 26-year-old was born in Copenhagen in Denmark and has represented his native country in International Cricket Council tournaments.
He said: "Ever since I came to Kent in 1999, I have wanted to play for England and this confirmation of my eligibility is a real boost to my ambition.
He has taken 190 wickets, at 32.58, and was Kent's top wicket taker in 2006.
Khan added: "I am working hard this winter at all aspects of my game and hope very much that next season I will continue to perform well for Kent and ultimately be successful in achieving further honours with England."
